Allergic conjunctivitis is an inflammation of the conjunctiva due to allergic or hypersensitivity reaction. It happens due to some allergic substance that makes the body’s immune system overreacting.


Conjunctivitis

  1. Seasonal allergic conjunctivitis
  2. Contact conjunctivitis
  Giant papillary conjunctivitis

4.    Perennial Conjunctivitis



Symptoms

  1. You may notice Redness in your eyes
  2. You may have intense pain
  3. Mild mucoid discharge
  4.  Photophobia
  5.  Foreign body sensation
  6. Blurred vision

Treatment

  1. Tropical Antibiotics
  2. Irrigate the conjunctival sac with sterile warm saline once or twice a day
  3. Dark Goggles 
  4. Anti-Inflammatory and analgesic drugs

Preventions

  1. Donot share your towel
  2. Keep distance with pets
  3. Wash your bed cover and pillow cover regularly.
  4. Use goggles
  5. Use your eye drops and go for regular check-up
