Eye stain headache | Symptoms | Treatment | Prevention

 Headache, not only you and me the whole world is facing the problem of Headache day by day. It seems normally most people have no idea that a simple mild headache can also be a severe problem for most parts of the brain. People are doing negligence by taking it as in a simple way. 

Headache due to Vision Problems

Yes, obviously vision problems can cause headaches. Which is basically a Refractive error and Squint. It can happen both in adults and children. It is also a serious problem that has to be treated on time. But there are many other problems that can also lead you to have headaches.

When and How do these Headaches occur?

These headaches because of refractive error or squint usually start later during the day, not in the morning so, when you wake up with a headache in the morning. Then it's definitely not due to eyes because your eyes are well-rested and they are relaxed usually, start later in the day or in the evening.  

Headaches due to Refractive error

Depending upon the refractive error which can cause headaches are commonly Astigmatism or Hypermetropia. 

Usually, Myopia does not cause headaches because when a person is myopic that means he/she can see up close pretty easily he/she doesn't have to focus. When you have myopia unless you have to see for distance and you will not focus a lot. So, usually, myopia is not one of the common causes for headache but the other refractive errors definitely can cause mild to severe headache sometimes even to the extent of resembling a migraine headache. So, even adults must be examined. This occurs more in adults over 30 years because they slowly start losing their focusing ability once you turn the eye muscle. So, depending on the nature of your work whether you work on the computer a lot, you read a lot depending on what you do these can occur as early as 30 years of age or maybe even closer to the forties. Before that even though there may be small refractive errors your eye muscle may be strong enough to deal with them and you may not really experience this headache but after the age of 30 they are commonly seen and even small refractive errors can cause a lot of headaches. So, please make sure that you get your eyes checked before you go for a CTC scan for a headache.

Headaches due to squint 

Yes, it is also a reason for headaches. What is Squint and how squint can cause a headache?  It means any misalignment between the two eyes which means if one eye goes in or goes out or goes up or down in comparison to the other one it could be either eye. So, when the two eyes don't work together when they are not aligned together it's called squint. This is a serious issue because then the eye-brain connection of the squinting eye does not develop as well or as normal as it should. And the eye which is squinting then could become lazy. So, you want to prevent a lazy eye you want the eyes to work together at any cost. So, if your both eyes are not working together and your eye gets tired, it may cause a headache. 

Headache is a serious problem. If you have a regular headache take it seriously go to the doctor for a check-up. If you have vision problems it will be best to check your eyes every 6 months. Eyes are very sensitive regular checkups can help you to know the problem you have in your eyes.
